A real cow's eye is dissected to demonstrate the beauty of organic form and function. Similar to, but much larger than a human eye, the cow's eye enables visitors to get a close-up view of the different parts of the eye such as the lens, cornea, and retina. Visitors participate in the Demonstration as they discover the functions of the various parts of the eye and how they interact to give us a clear picture of the world. Conditions causing malfunctions of the eye, such as glaucoma and cataracts are discussed.

When Is the Demo?

NYSCI offers a series of Demonstrations daily and rotates the schedule of presentations. Please contact us to inquire about Demonstration times and availability.
