Summer of the Stars: Astronomy
May 18, 2013: noon – 4 pm
Use solar telescopes, make constellations on sun print paper, and learn about rockets and flight. Free with NYSCI admission.
Little Makers: Bath Paints
May 19, 2013; 10:30 am – 12:30 pm
Mix up your own batch of washable paints to make bath time fun in this drop-in workshop. $8 per family, plus NYSCI admission ($5 per family for members). Preregistration is recommended.
Make It: Woodworking
18, 19, & 26, 2013; 2 – 5 pm
Use sandpaper, a hammer and nails to build your own wooden creation. Recommended for ages 5 and older. $10 per adult/child pair, plus NYSCI admission. ($8 members.)
ShadowPLAY
May 7 – 23, 2013; Weekends, 11 am – 5 pm; Tuesday – Thursday, 10:30 am – 1 pm; Friday, 10:30 am – 4 pm
Experiment with colorful lights, shadow puppets, colored gels, and tubes in this unique exhibition. Free with NYSCI admission.
