Free Lesson Plans: Teachers' TalkingScience

Help spark your students’ excitement about science with Teachers’ TalkingScience, a collection of free science lesson plans designed for grades 6 – 8. Created by NYSCI, the lessons are based on NPR’s Science Friday’s popular web videos. In the videos, you can see real scientists at work in the lab or in the field. Covering a range of topics, the lesson plans align with national teaching and learning standards and feature hands-on activities using inexpensive materials. 

Lessons include Building a SolarHouse, Fun with Optics, Flower Anatomy, and more. Every month, new lessons are added, so check back often.
