The New York Hall of Science welcomes a new café to its location. Delish by Amerivents will provide NYSCI patrons with healthy food options, environmentally friendly packaging, and educational programs centered around nutrition.
New York Hall of Science Presents ReGeneration: Ten Artists Present Their Interpretations of Cultural Sustainability
ReGeneration, a new exhibition exploring the relationship between sustainability and cultural vitality, opens October 27 at the New York Hall of Science (NYSCI). The exhibition includes interactive works by 10 artists that inspire visitors to think about the notion of cultural sustainability through collaborative engagement and futuristic visions built upon the history and traditions of New York’s diverse neighborhoods. The exhibition runs through January 13, 2013.
World Maker Faire, Largest Showcase for 3D Printing
Attendees at World Maker Faire, at the New York Hall of Science (NYSCI) in Queens, N.Y. on Saturday, Sept. 29, and Sunday, Sept. 30, will get a chance in indulge their passion for 3D printing at two venues this year: the 3D Printer Village and the 3D Pavilion. The number of entries marked a new all-time high for 3D related projects, reflecting the enthusiasm for 3D printing sweeping the maker community.

A festival showcasing the world's most extraordinary gathering of DIY talents in science, technology, crafting, fashion, food, sustainability and more returns to New York City on September 21 and 22.

NYSCI Issues Report on Innovation, Education and the Maker Movement
In conjunction with World Maker Faire in September 2010, NYSCI convened a two-day workshop with more than 80 leaders in education, science, technology and the arts to consider how the Maker movement can stimulate innovation in formal and informal education.
