CYBERCHASE Stars Take the New York Hall of Science by Storm

Queens, N.Y. – Everyone’s favorite CYBERCHASE characters Harry and Digit will be at the New York Hall of Science on January 24, 2009 from 12 – 5 pm as part of an exciting event celebrating weather. During CYBERCHASE Weather Watchers Day, visitors will be able to enjoy screenings of Cyberchase episodes, hands-on weather-related activities, fun giveaways, and meet and greets with Harry and his wacky cyberbird pal Digit!

The wonderful activities include (activities 11 am – 5 pm, unless otherwise indicated):

• The X-Factor - Every Drop Counts! – Take part in this water conservation activity that will require interaction with fellow museum guests in order to exponentially spread the word about saving water. Help us prove that when many people contribute to a small solution, what they do doesn’t just add up, it multiplies into a big solution!
• Cyberchase Whirligig – Can you make paper dance? Find out how a change in air temperature will move your whirligig into action!
• Tikiville Teepee – After designing a plate at the Coloring Tables, bring it over to the Tikiville Teepee construction site, and watch your plate become part of this free-standing structure. Be sure to check back throughout the day to see how this challenge is completed!
• Paper Topography – You'll have your work cut out for you at this table as you find out how folding and cutting paper change the landscape of the surface.
• Cyberchase Meet and Greet* – noon, 1 pm, 3 pm, 4 pm and 5 pm – Get your picture taken with your favorite Cyberchase characters, Harry and Digit!
• Cyberchase Screenings and Raffle with a pre-show by Harry! – Shows and Times (Duration: 45 minutes): When Penguins Fly, 11:45 am; Tikiville Turkey Day, 12:45 pm; Eureeka, 2:45 pm; The X-Factor, 3:45 pm; This is a ticketed event. Pick up your free ticket at the Welcome Table in the Lower Rotunda.
• Meet NBC 4 New York Meteorologist Janice Huff – Come hear about her love of meteorology and her role as Stormy Gale on Cyberchase.

• Cyberchase Temporary Tattoo Table, 11 am – 4 pm
• Cyberchase Weather Watchers Coloring Page Table, 11 am – 4 pm
