Funding from private foundations and government agencies is critical to the New York Hall of Science’s ability to provide meaningful educational opportunities in line with NYSCI’s mission. As a nonprofit organization, NYSCI relies on grants and contracts to support initiatives ranging from the Science Career Ladder internship program for urban youth to teacher training opportunities, early childhood education and engaging, creative family programs.
This funding also supports free hours that ensure access for families to NYSCI regardless of income and scholarships that provide free tuition for local students to attend the After School Science Clubs and School’s Out! Innovation Camps. Other funds support the NYSCI’s general operating expenses to help keep over 450 interactive permanent exhibits fully operational and bring in new and innovative exhibitions for our diverse audience. We are proud to be the recipient of funds from distinguished and forward-thinking foundations and government agencies.
