Giving Circle

The NYSCI Giving Circle is a community of individual supporters who have a committed interest in the mission and continuing work of NYSCI.

Gifts to the NYSCI Giving Circle will enable NYSCI to serve more youth, families and teachers, and develop exciting new programs and exhibitions that will help to revolutionize the way science and technology are taught in science centers and schools all over the country.

By supporting the NYSCI Giving Circle, you are helping us to:

Prepare promising under-served high school and college students for careers in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), through NYSCI’s signature Science Career Ladder. Launched in 1986, the Science Career Ladder is recognized as a model program for promoting science learning and careers among diverse youth by Change the Equation, a national initiative led by 100 corporate CEOs and the White House to increase private philanthropy and investment in STEM education.

Support creative and knowledgeable science teachers through engaging and innovative professional development opportunities for thousands of New York City science and math teachers each year in subjects ranging from physics to neuroscience.

Engage learners beyond the walls of NYSCI through on-site, mobile, digital and web-based student and teacher development programs. Reaching classrooms from Scotland to Texas, these programs offer opportunities to engage with science and technology in ways that spark imagination, creating a genuine passion for science learning.

Levels and Benefits

Friends Circle $500 - $999

Four tickets to one of NYSCI's 3-D theater performances.

Contributors Circle $1,000 – $2,499

Receives all of the Friends Circle benefits and:

A one-hour private session, with a NYSCI Explainer, at the Science Playground or Rocket Park Mini Golf for up to six people.

Sustainers Circle $2,500 – $4,999

Receives all of the Contributors Circle benefits and:

Lunch and a private science lab, with a science instructor from NYSCI's education department, for up to 20 people.
Opportunity to host a Science Salon, in your home, with one of NYSCI's staff.

Benefactors Circle $5,000 – $9,999

Receives all of the Sustainers Circle benefits and:

Lunch and a private tour of NYSCI, given by the president and CEO, for up to eight people (subject to CEO’s availability).
Invitation to an exclusive dinner with a top science expert.

Partners Circle $10,000 – $24,999

Receives all of the Benefactors Circle benefits and:

Dinner and a private Astronomy Evening featuring the Starlab, with a science instructor from the education department, for up to 20 people.
One-time use of NYSCI’s Great Hall or the Anthony Viscusi Gallery for a private function (exclusive of catering and related expenses).

Leadership Circle $25,000

Receives all of the Partners Circle benefits and:

A private science class including lunch or dinner, with the president and CEO, for up to ten people. (subject to CEO's availability)
Opportunity to purchase advance reservations for the exclusive "Science Adventure" travel program to exciting destinations.
