The Science Technology Library of the New York Hall of Science offers you a warm and welcoming atmosphere that is conducive to learning. Located in the North Wing, we offer visitors a multimedia collection of more than 10,000 items for children, families, adults and educators. All NYSCI members have borrowing privileges.
With books, videos, DVDs and periodicals focused on science, the Library is an excellent resource for visitors who want more information about NYSCI exhibits, need help with science fair projects or who are curious about science topics.
Educators can also find a home in the Library. Our collection of 1,500+ items includes lesson plans, activities, curriculum standards and much more.
Other features of the Library include a preschool reading area, media center, children’s books, adult books, reference materials, biographies, parenting, books featuring science experiments, picture books and fiction. You can search our collection online. You can also become our fan on Facebook.
The Library also offers special programming for families. On Saturdays, join us for Science Story Time, hosted every Saturday at 11:00 am, and Science Video Time, at 3:30 pm. And if you have a preschooler, please join us on weekdays (Wednesday - Friday) for our Preschool Story Time at 11 am.
