Learn the basics of controllers to make a wearable, electronic turn signal for more safe and rad biking and skating. Recommended for children ages 10 and older. Children must be accompanied by an adult. $20 per project, plus NYSCI admission; $15 NYSCI members.
Space is limited to 10 child/adult participants. Preregistration is required. Preregistration ends March 27 at 5 pm.
Jon Santiago helps schools and community-based organizations create after-school programs that promote knowledge in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Through his work with STEM2GETHER and HTINK, he has helped start Young Maker programs in New York City and Newark, N.J., which get students interested in electronics, computer programming, design and the use of traditional hand tools.
