Make your own web page, create digital video, design and print a keychain with a 3D printer, create your own computer animation and more at this free event for teens. Games, food and prizes are part of the fun. Ages 13 – 18. Free with NYSCI admission. Preregistration is recommended.
Creativity Stations include:
Mozilla Web Maker: Build your own web page, pick up some HTML and CSS coding skills, and remix a YouTube video.
Digital Photography: Work with NYSCI's Explainer TV team to create digital images and video to share with the world.
3D Printing: Design and print a personalized keychain using a Makerbot 3D Printer and help from staff of Pixel Academy.
Computer Animation: Make your own animation video by using Blender, a free and open-source computer graphics software program.
Beat Making: Remix, record and create your own digital beatss with staff from WorldUp.
Hack a Greeting Card: Modify a musical greeting card.
Forced Perspective Imaging: Use your smartphone camera to create forced perspective images.
Sound Recording: Use a contact microphone to listen to, record and sample sounds from everyday objects.
