Help NYSCI build a new venue to test out your design thinking skills. Design is a problem-solving process central to engineering and technology. NYSCI's Design Lab will open in 2014 with materials and frameworks challenging you to find ways to build happier cities, sustainable structures and more. Come to the first of several prototyping sessions and help us design an interactive space to tackle problems worth solving.
Activities are free with NYSCI admission and may include one of the following:
Dowel Structures – Build something big with dowels and rubber bands
Happy City – Add your own piece to our city model, using LEDs and motors.
Recycle Sculpture Garden – Use building toys and recycling to make a work of art.
Making Air Work for You – Create moving devices that work with air power.
