Join us for this day-long event with interactive activities geared for kids. Build, test and construct with table-top activities that explore engineering. Activities include:
Gumdrop Dome – Build a dome out of gumdrops and toothpicks and guess how much the dome can support.
Paper Bridge – Design and build a paper bridge using a sheet of paper and paperclips.
Topple-A-Tug – Build a boat of aluminum foil and determine the greatest number of pennies the boat can hold.
High Rise – Design and build the tallest tower you can using Jenga blocks.
West Point Bridge: Virtual Game – Build a virtual bridge and then test its strength in this game that tests your engineering chops.
Engineering Day is hosted by the American Society of Civil Engineers. Activities are free with NYSCI admission.
