The 4th annual Imagine Science Film Festival returns to NYSCI on Sunday, October 16. Seventeen kid-friendly short films will be shown, beginning at 2 pm. Films include:

  • Denmark – A story about Pily, a crustacean of mixed origin, who builds a rocket ship to escape the contagion of his underwater crops and home.
  • Seed – A two-minute animated voyage through nature’s life cycle, following the trials and tribulations of a humble apple seed.
  • A Love Story ... in Milk – The path of true love never did run smooth ... especially if you’re a milk bottle. Follow these star-crossed lovers from factory to fridge and beyond.
  • When I Am 18 – An animated short film featuring the drawings and voices of sisters Maja, 8, and Lily, 5, from the UK.
  • Dinosaur Ballet – Tutu-wearing dinosaurs perform ballet in this short animation.
  • Lost and Found – A story about a boy who finds a penguin on his doorstep and decides to take it home – even if that means rowing all the way to the South Pole!
  • Zero – Born into a world of numbers, an oppressed zero discovers that through determination, courage, and love, nothing can be truly something.
  • Virus – In this eight-minute film, a computer virus falls in love while carrying out its mission of destruction.

And much more!
