Field trips to the New York Hall of Science offer valuable enrichment opportunities for students, teachers, homeschoolers and parents. In addition to the more than 450 exhibitions in topics ranging from physics to mathematics to biology to the search for life beyond earth, hourly demonstrations led by NYSCI staff engage visitors in exciting interactive science exploration. Picked by New York Magazine as the Best Field Trip, NYSCI offers outdoor and indoor exhibitions that are interpreted by expert Explainers. There are also workshop activities led by expert instructors (additional fee) that can offer students hands-on learning beyond what they can experience in the school setting.

What Teachers Say

Students are able to make the connections between what they've been taught in class or read about in a book, to a real experience and they enjoy the presentations.
— B. Lewis, Bronx

It is a wonderful place for students to get interested in science. NYSCI encourages the student to look MORE into the realm of science — especially students that had no interest in science in the first place. I love to go just to see their eyes light up.
— M. Mitchell, Manhattan

NYSCI is a very child-centered, child-friendly facility where the students and adults can learn something and have a lot of fun.
